What Can You Do?

Below are 4 simple actions to take to help find out “Where is the Panchen Lama?

1. Display the ‘MISSING – “Where is the Panchen Lama?”‘ poster:

Print and display this poster to encourage people to call local Chinese embassies to ask “Where is the Panchen Lama?”.

Available in a number different languages (see below) with phone numbers of Chinese embassies in countries around the world including the UK, US, France, Germany, Poland and Mexico.

2. Send a TEXT asking, “Where is the Panchen Lama?” – 班禪在哪裏?
Take part in an global text action to send as hundreds of text message to Chinese leaders asking “Where is the Panchen Lama?”

Simply ‘copy and paste’ the Chinese text from above and send a text (SMS) messages, via your mobile phone, from Skype or an internet texting service to:

**If you have a smart phone or are sending SMS via the internet you can simply cut and paste the Chinese text into your SMS system. If you are using a standard mobile phone we suggest you use the English text.

3. Sign and share the “Where is the Panchen Lama?” Petition (online and paper version available)

This petition targets Zhu Weiqun, Vice Minister of the United Front Work Department, China’s official spokesperson for Tibetan affairs demanding proof of the Panchen Lama’s whereabouts is issued immediately.

4. Send Gedhun Choekyi Nyima a letter or card via the Governor of the Tibet Autonomous Region. The suggested address for sending letters and cards is:

We suggest you print out and stick the following message in Tibetan onto the front of your envelope, which translates roughly as “Kindly forward this card to Gedhun Choekyi Nyima since we understand you know his location”.
